Offbeat Celebrates Four Year Anniversary with VR Clubhouse Afterparty!

Once merely a vision, Offbeat has come far in the four years since founding, so we headed to the Metaverse to celebrate together.

4 years ago, what started with some bright college students looking ways to make money off their successful meme pages, quickly became so much more when ourCo-Founders Shep Ogden, Christopher Travers, and Bailey Grady, decided to establish what we know today as Offbeat Media Group.

But our story isn’t as simple as that. In fact, these past four years that Offbeat has been in business have been an exhilarating ride full of change, highs, and lows that we embrace with grace and curiosity. Let’s walk down memory lane a bit as we celebrate our four-year anniversary.

Becoming the Most Exciting Digital Media Startup in the Southeast

We have gone from being a group of 3 people in a small office in downtown Atlanta to a staff of over 40 passionate and hardworking employees, all over the country and world. We embraced the remote-work lifestyle during 2020 when the Covid pandemic hit and have been building an intentionally remote-first culture for our employees. This team is comprised of highly motivated, self-starters who are passionate about achieving our company's vision for the world.

We bring together experts in social media trends, content creation, and influencer marketing as well as media production, syndication, and paid media campaigns to create a supergroup, perfectly poised to create innovative client work. It is this combination of expertise and experience that sets Offbeat apart.

In these past four years, we have had the great opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands that sit at the intersections of culture, lifestyle, and entertainment. From record labels, to QSR brands, to media conglomerates, we are thankful for each of our clients.

All of This Success Calls for Celebration

Our success would not be possible without great leadership and a clearly defined vision for the future to keep us motivated.

Being a fully remote company with employees living across the country, it is crucial for us to find innovative ways to celebrate milestones together. Offbeat, months ago, betting on the virtual world, sent all employees an Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset and built a fully virtual clubhouse. We have held happy hours in this clubhouse, parties, and creative meetings.

So naturally, our four-year anniversary celebration also took place in our virtual clubhouse, where employees mingled with one another in VR.

Offbeat's Future Looks Bright

With the help of our investors, mentors, and advisors, who are some of the best in class, we have achieved lots these last four years. We are excited to see the potential growth that the company holds.

From launching new characters into the Nexus Universe alongside Zero, to creating new custom work for clients, and continuing to add new innovative minds to our team, we have many more things in store.

And while the future is uncertain, one thing is for sure, Offbeat will continue to work towards building one of the most innovative media companies in the world.
